Arctic Char is a Salmonid and is found in the Arctic Ocean throughout the northernmost countries, particularly in the Canadian Arctic. It is similar to salmon or trout, but has a milder, more delicate flavour.
Wild caught in the North Atlantic by Labrador Gem Seafoods and processed on the Island community of Ramea, Newfoundland and Labrador. The char is flash frozen during the winter harvest and within six hours during the summer harvest and remain frozen until purchased or smoked.
